About Me

Chartered Accountant
Jeetendra Dhital
As CA Jitendra Dhital, I currently serve as the Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of Nepal’s Employees Provident Fund (EPF), a position I have held since December 2022. My mission is to lead EPF toward innovation, inclusivity, and operational excellence—transforming it into a modern, digitally empowered institution that stands as a model for integrity and member-focused governance.
With over 16 years of experience in the financial sector, my career spans banking, insurance, social security, infrastructure development, and public finance. I hold professional and academic qualifications in Chartered Accountancy, Economics, Law, and Information Technology, enabling me to bring a strategic and multidisciplinary lens to leadership and policy formulation.
My 15-year tenure at EPF has included leadership roles such as Deputy CEO and a key position as Chief Financial Officer for the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project—Nepal’s largest domestically financed infrastructure project. In that role, I ensured financial discipline and strategic resource allocation for the 456 MW initiative, a cornerstone in Nepal’s journey toward energy security.
Under my leadership, EPF has undergone a transformative digital overhaul. We’ve implemented a fully faceless and paperless system, significantly improving efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for our contributors. My emphasis on inclusivity has led to the development of mobile-friendly platforms and online portals that empower both urban and rural members. More than 90% of EPF’s earnings have been redirected back to contributors through data-driven investments and robust risk management strategies—reinforcing long-term financial sustainability and social impact.
A Vision for Inclusive Growth
As the Administrator of Nepal’s Employees Provident Fund (EPF), my vision transcends traditional financial management to focus on empowering our contributors and fostering their long-term well-being. Since assuming leadership in December 2022, I have driven initiatives that redefine social security as a tool for holistic welfare, not merely a financial obligation. A hallmark of this commitment is the expansion of healthcare benefits to include contributors’ spouses, ensuring that families are supported in times of need. By prioritizing real-world impact over abstract metrics, we have ensured that over 90% of EPF’s earnings are reinvested directly into our members’ benefits, securing their financial futures while enhancing their quality of life. This member-centric approach reflects my belief that social security should be a tangible force for good, delivering meaningful outcomes that resonate beyond balance sheets.
Looking ahead, my goal is to establish EPF as a global benchmark for efficiency, integrity, and social protection. This entails embracing cutting-edge technologies to further streamline operations, such as advanced digital platforms that enhance accessibility for contributors across urban and rural Nepal. Simultaneously, I am committed to strengthening institutional governance through transparent practices and robust risk management, ensuring EPF’s resilience in a dynamic economic landscape. Supported by a dedicated team, I am working to build a modern, inclusive, and adaptable EPF that not only meets the needs of today’s contributors but also safeguards the aspirations of future generations. By blending innovation with a steadfast commitment to social good, we are shaping an EPF that stands as a model of excellence and trust worldwide.
